Panzerschreck #14: Race to the Vistula
------------------------
“WWII East Front, late war, A4 size map and 5/8th inch counters, map is okay, counters are okay and rules fairly straight forward, but not simple enough to be a good introductory game and perhaps not interesting enough for more experienced players to play more than twice FTF, though can be played solitaire. Rating C” CH

Panzerschreck #14: Brandy Station
------------------------
“American Civil War, A4 size map and ˝ inch counters, only a handful of actual unit counters per side. Counter and map art is okay. Rules are okay, though not a good introductory game even with its size as it uses a fairly unusual game system. Uses event chits that can be played by either side, and has random VC’s which are selected by the Union player at the start of play. Not much good for solitaire play, and not sure experienced players will get more than a couple of playing’s out of it. Rating C” CH

Panzer Digest # 1: Falaise Pocket ------------------------
"This game covers the attempted break out of German forces within what was known as the Falaise Pocket in France, 1944. One A4 size map, and the counters are on a sheet with the other games in the magazine and need to be mounted and cut out, no one could accuse Gary of being a closest Nazi, Regular German units in Red, SS in Pink, the rules are 5 pages of A5. Very simple system of Igo-Ugo, pretty standard CRT to go with it. In addition there is nearly a page of optional rules. Have played the game without any optional rules. The neatest thing about the game is that VP’s are determined on a secret bid each player makes based on the defence value of German units they expect they can exit from the East map edge. There is some replayability, and in our experience it plays pretty quick, we did 6 games in 2 hours. Rating C" CH Back to the MGPRP main page
